Beauty Danger! Eyeliner Isn’t Safe?

I’m a bit of an eyeliner junkie. Every single day, seven days a week, and sometimes more than once a day, I line the inner rims of my eyelids and add mascara. On major makeup days, I’ll outline my entire eye in black eyeliner to draw even more attention to my deep dark look. I’ve never questioned my own health and safety in applying my eyeliner this way. After all, I don’t share my makeup, don’t use contacts, and have never had eye issues. So you can imagine my surprise in reading that this application causes eye infections and that ophthalmologists highly advise against it! Before you get too depressed about having to change your makeup application, there’s a simple fix.
With each swipe of your inner rims, sharpen your eyeliner to provide a new clean surface. Personally, I doubt I’m going to change my methods. After years of testing products, I finally found my favorite—Cover Girl Perfect Point Plus, which has a soft-self sharpening tip. And up until this point, I’ve had zero problems with my eye health. But it’s still something to think about, because, after all, your eyes are extremely important and precious. So, will this news change your makeup application habits?Source: The Frisky

What's In Your Stash?
A new friend of mine (another mac-a-holic) asked me to send her a list of all the MAC products I have. I thought it would be a quick request as I had only became a fan of MAC about a year ago when I ran across a YouTube video by Lauren, the Queen of Blending. That was the beginning of my love affair with this amazing product. Any who . . . as I began digging products out of my caboodle I realized I had eyeshadows, lipglosses and lipsticks that I have never worn; items that I forgot I even owned! I was also surprised at how much product I have accumulated in such a short period of time.Next week I vow to wear some of the products that I just had to have when they were launched at the MAC counter. What about you? Do you have products that you have purchased and have not worn?
I hereby dub next week, "Wear Your Stash Week." Here's to finding new loves in what we already own.

Current loves . . .
Ok, I have totally fallen in love with Birds and Berries from MAC's
Give Me Liberty of London collection. This e/s looks amazing on top of NYX's Slate jumbo pencil. Also, I'm head over hills with my Korres lip butter in Guava. It smells amazing and is so hydrating. I love to use this product as a primer for the lips prior to using lipgloss or lipstick. I'd heard several guru's talk about Giza lipgloss from Nars so I bought it. This shade looks so good on brown skin. Don't let the way it looks in the bottle scare you . . . it's fire. Lastly, I stopped using my Philosophy moisturizer (Hope in a Jar) and moved on to Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer. It's so light and it gives your skin a very natural glow. Did I mention it has sunscreen in it? Love it!!
